“God didn’t create any being on earth for nothing; you and I are specially designed for a unique and specific purpose. The day we discover it is when we start living.Otherwise, we would be merely existing” RSD.

But God had special plans for me even before I was born. So he chose me through his grace. He wanted me to tell the Good News about his Son to the non-Jewish people. So God let me see and learn about his Son. When this happened, I did not get advice or help from anyone. Gal 1:15-17 ERV.

One of the best words ever spoken and written on earth arethose of Dr. Myles Monroe of blessed memory, which is this: “When the purpose of something is not known, the abuse of it is inevitable”. The word abuse is simply not using something properly or maximally. It doesn’t necessarily have to do with negative connotation; although sometimes, it can be just like how some people abuse drugs and so on. People can abuse their lives by doing what God didn’t create them to do. Life is essentially about living to fulfill the ultimate reason why God created us. Otherwise, it may be abuse of life.

Some people are living only to gratify their own personal goals, like in terms of professional and career pursuit; acquisition of properties alone, and many more. Yet, such people still feel some form of emptiness and lack of fulfillment in their lives. This is simply because they haven’t really discovered the reason why they were born. Paul the Apostle in the scriptures got to that level before he actually discovered the reason why God created him. Little wonder Robert Byrne said that: “The purpose of life is a life of purpose.” Mark Twain also said that: “The two most important days in life are the day you were born and the day you discover the reason why.”

I was almost becoming dissatisfied about life until I actually realized the ultimate reason why God created me. So I want to use this little piece on my birthday to encourage someone to focus on the reason why he or she was born. Whenever you and I are celebrating our birthdays, we should always remember that our birthdays are simply designed to help us reflect on the purpose of our lives, beyond the parties and celebration. Please kindly reflect on some of these quotes on purpose:

“The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.” – Picasso

“Your purpose in life is to find your purpose and give your whole heart and soul to it.” – Buddah

“When you walk in purpose, you collide with destiny.” – Ralph Buchanan

“Purpose is the place where your deep gladness meets the world’s needs.” – Frederick Buechner

“To forget one’s purpose is the commonest form of stupidity.” – Friedrich Nietzsche

“Efforts and courage are not enough without purpose and direction.” – John F. Kennedy

“Your birthday is designed by God for you to essentially reflect on your purpose than only enjoying parties and properties” RSD
